Steel is one of the most commonly used products today. One of its biggest uses is in the construction industry. This is referred to structural steel. Structural steel can be further classified by the way it was produced and it’s components. Two main kinds of steel are A36 Structural steel and A992 Structural steel. The letter and number combination in front refer certain descriptions of how the steel is produced according to ASTM (American Society for Testing Materials).
