Why is Communism, Fascism and Nazism more alike than different

In my high school, I was given the history book and taught about three popular movements during the 21st century. Communism, Nazism (National Socialism), and Fascism, the latter pronounced with a terrifying tone, and the fold of the digits.

As I got to read the chapter by Richard Pipes, Communism, Fascism, and National Socialism, it occurred to me, how wrong was my teacher and those inaccurate history books in defining all of them poles apart. Though governments and regimes are given a distinct name for a purpose, but to not link them together is a serious error for the future of all historians. As the author says: “In practice, all political, economic and social systems are “mixed”; none is pure.”

Elaborating on that quote, Richard Pipes starts of first with the Italian Fascist party. He has literally convinced us by pleading page after page, that fascism is the bastard child of Lenin’s Bolshevik regime. Giving us concrete substantiation, on why was Fascism one of the thorns born from the roots of Communism:
