Values Versus Human Nature

Modern American cultural values are a hot debate topic. For the sake of this essay, I will define them as the majority of the U.S. does. This includes the ten commandments, no excessive violence, or sex, on TC, no taboo (whether it be explicit language, sex, violence, Satanic of Luciferean references, or any other sort of "negative imagery,") in music and video games, and a general distaste of stereotypes. Now, since this majority of people are generally Christian, (and this religion was set up to keep people from being "evil,") these values can come into great conflict with our human nature.

A recent instance of this is in the music industry. Of course, many people know about the recent blasts against the more popular hip-hop and rap-core acts for their use of violent, sexual, and linguistically explicit lyrics. Obviously, the artists were following what they felt, rather than bowing to the values of our culture. The same values which later went against them for it. But, the music does appeal to a large majority of Americans, as proven by the sheer amount of these albums sold. But, there are other forms of music that don't even see the light of day in America
