Odysseus is a man of exploration since he is always traveling and investigating his surroundings. Although he says that wandering is the worst thing for a man, he himself has a never-ending curiosity that drives him into exploring land that has never been heard of or seen before. What made Odysseus stand out as an ultimate figure in history is the fact that he was not only a man who has traveled a lot and has great experience, but he is also a man who has endured the pain and suffering to gain such knowledge. Odysseus is simply a man of voyage, investigation, and wisdom. He is a leader of leaders who had always been greatly concerned with his men. He was the one who encouraged and guided these men through their great adventures although all them died by the end of the journey.
