Macbeth
It’s a shame that murder can become a person’s addiction. In Shakespeare’s Macbeth, Error in Macbeth’s judgment causes him to go from a noble man to a cold hearted, bloodthirsty murderer. The murders of Duncan, Banquo, and Macduff’s family, cause Macbeth’s deterioration in character. His desire to be king causes Macbeth to break away from his nobleness and enter the life of a villain. Driven by Lady Macbeth’s sick and twisted mind and her desire to be a queen, she forces Macbeth into this villain life. Lady Macbeth convinced Macbeth that he wasn't a man unless he went through with the murder of Duncan. She threatens his manhood by saying "When you durst do it, then you were a man;/ And to be more than what you were, you would/ Be so much more the man" (act I, scene vii, l 49-51).
