Why literature will never die had an experience of what reading literature can be like, when I travelled in Kenya some years ago. I was taking a bus from Nairobi to Mombasa, an approximately 15 hour trip. We had been driving for about an hour or so, when a piece of paper was handed to me. I took a closer look at the paper, and realised it was the first page of an English paperback novel.
