Assignment 3 – News and Newspapers

Task 3 I think newspapers don’t have a future because technology has already taken over a huge part of the media and it will soon take it all over. It has taken over Encyclopedias with Microsoft Encartả. The Internet is now known as the new Library as it is the most used source of information. A student going to the Library nowadays is very rare. Instead they are on their computers or laptops clicking away at the chewing gum like – screen. The Internet is very addictive, as I have also been drawn into it. The Internet is very detailed with many multimedia features, which newspapers haven’t got. There is an interest in the Internet for people whereas the newspapers haven’t got the grip that the Internet does. The advertising fees for the Internet, television and radio are slightly more expensive than newspaper advertising fees although research shows that radio, television and Internet advertising are the most successful types of retail. Below is an example of Internet advertising, A broadsheet is a full-size newspaper, sometimes mistakenly called a broadside.
