Yes, a nation should have sovereignty to do what they wish. ... If one nation had complete power of all others, there would be corruption and this ruling nation would abuse its power. As humankind has seen through past experiences, such as with Stalin, a person, or in this case nation, that inherits a totalitarian power will be corrupted and abuse this power. Secondly, a nation needs to be able to do as their people wish to better themselves. A ruling nation over them would make the decision as to what should happen and why, instead of the people making the choice. ... Lastly, it is important for national sovereignty because each country then gets certain privileges. They would now be able to govern themselves and make their own rules, whereas the ruling country would decide them, and they get to harvest and use some natural resources for themselves, whereas the ruling nation may take these resources for their own benefit.
