A View From The Bridge
In this essay I will be studying a scene from A View From The Bridge. The scene that I am studying is the boxing scene between Rudolph and Eddie; I am trying to find out why this is no significance to the play and the characteristics of the family.
There are many tense scenes in A View From The Bridge but tension is built up almost from the first scene. Catherine, Eddie’s niece/ adopted daughter, takes a liking to the Italian illegal immigrant, Rudolpho. Ever since Catherine’s parents died, Eddie had been a loving father figure to her and treated him as his own child. ... In one scene Eddie mentions that Catharine is staying out late at night, “ …… till he came here she was never on the street 12 o’clock at night and Marco quickly replied “you come home early now Rudolph”.
