Yeah Right, nice try

Tab Ballis 9/11 One Year Later: A Psychotherapist Reflects on His Experiences at Ground Zero The events of September 11, 2001 rattled the nation. The strong effect it has had on the people of our country can still be easily observed. Tab Ballis is a mental health professional that felt his normal activities were inadequate in helping to fix problems stemming from 9/11. A colleague mentioned to Ballis the experience she had working as a Red Cross disaster mental health volunteer. Feeling that he needed to do more to help, Ballis traveled to New York, where his experiences intrigued his psychotherapist instincts. I believe Ballis’ purpose in writing this article was to analyze the behavioral change, both mental and physical, of New York’s citizens and those working to restore Ground Zero after the events of 9/11. Upon arrival in New York, Ballis states that he quickly grasps the concept of transportation throughout the city by making use of the subway. While riding, he notices that New Yorkers have generally become talkative and have opened up more so than usual.
