Boys Emotional Struggle
... For young boys, school, family, and peers, can create an immense amount of psychological problems. Girls have typically been seen as the sex with the most problems, but in reality boys have a significant amount of difficulties as well. Luckily for girls, they are allowed to be emotionally expressive and are constantly encouraged to be emotional. Boys on the other hand, are conditioned from a very young age to remain emotionally illiterate and because of it, are unable to cope with many of the problems they will undoubtedly face from many aspects of their worlds. School plays a huge role in the difficulties boys face in society. According to the article “Are Boys the Weaker Sex? ... News & World Report, boys are in trouble across the country. ... Although a lot of focus is placed on fairness for girls in school, boys are also suffering. ... Boys spend a majority of their education surrounded by women who are seemingly not able to understand their needs. In general, schools favor behavior that is commonly expressed by girls and find objectionable behavior commonly expressed by boys.
