Within five years before and after the turn of the 20th century, a number of imperial wars was fought by the “Big Powers”. What were these wars, what precipitated each and what were the consequences of each? ... In a more general way, the imperial wars’ between 1895 and 1905 brought a decisive turn in history as they marked the advent of three new dominating “Big Powers”: the United States, the United Kingdom and Japan.
