... Deciding on the type of teams depends on the company or organization and what the goal of the team will be. Forming teams to solve real work issues and to improve real work processes. Effective teams do not develop overnight; they must evolve over time so the team expands its energy on the project, and not on figuring out how to work together to approach it. There are three main types of teams Work Teams, Task Teams, and Management Teams. Work teams might come from existing organizational units such as sections or departments, or they might be regional units such as small field offices.
