The first users of broadband were typically early technology adopters, usually wealthy, educated, and male. Not long after that when the price came down because of major competition, people of all gender, race, and economic backround have adopted broadband as there highway to the internet. Broadband has caught on much faster than originally predicted and seems to have no end in sight. ... There are even internet cafes where you can rent a PC with a broadband backbone. Broadband technology took 4 years to reach the critical mass of 10% adoption by our society. ... Broadband is on pace to become the most quickly adopted technology of our time. ...
