If I had to vote in the Recall on Tuesday I would vote yes on the decision to Recall Governor Davis. I have five main reasons for this choice: First of all, Davis lied to the public about California’s budgetary matters solely to gain re-election. ... He knowingly lied through his teeth before the election about the size and scope of California’s $34. ... As soon as he felt he had tricked the voters and Election Day had passed, Gray Davis suddenly declared a serious budget crisis existed. ... On the news lately I have been watching Governor Davis try to stay above the fray, practicing a softer image at town-hall meetings and badmouthing the recall from a dignified distance. ... I am tired of it too and I think that is what’s pushing my vote towards yes to the recall. ... Every poll except the Los Angeles Times Poll has found that the recall leads by double digits. Of course if I vote yes on the Recall I will have to vote on a replacement.
