Abolition of Slavery
The abolition of slavery was not an easy task. In 1831, William Lloyd Garrison, a youthful assistant to Quaker Benjamin Lundy, an editor for the Genius of Universal Emancipation newspaper took an extreme position against slavery. He organized the Anti-Slavery Society in 1831. I believe that people like William Lloyd Garrison and Quaker Benjamin Lundy were some of the main reasons why the abolition of slavery finally happened.
