Macbeth

A tragic hero is someone who we grow to admire as well as sympathize for. A tragic hero is also someone who is not perfect, but very noble and honest. Common tragic heroes in literature are those such as Romeo and Juliet from Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. An excellent example of a tragic hero who possesses many of those qualities is John Proctor from Arthur Miller’s, The Crucible.
