The company policy clearly states there are no refunds, and the clerk knows that the manager will reject the refund. The clerk, however, believes the refund in warranted. This is a difficult decision for anyone to make because disregarding the policy could bring about serious repercussions; not granting the refund will result in the dissatisfaction of the customer.
