The Aim of Education The aim of education is a very open topic to discuss about. It is assumed that most people have their own views on it, including every present, However, in past days, in a specific period, there was always one or several most prevailing opinions about the aim of education in a specific community, a country or a wide area. Similarly, nowadays concerning the appropriate role of higher education, there are mainly three groups of people who hold different opinions. One group feel that institutions of higher education should first and foremost produce enough technical, scientific and professional trained people to meet the nation¡¦s requirements of all kinds of specialists, such as teachers, engineers, physicians, agriculturists, etc.
