nonentity in 1928 A head of state in 1934 ¨ Explain Hitler ¦s rise to power

On March 5th 1933, the Nazi Party, led by Adolf Hitler, won political power in Germany despite not having an overall majority within the German Parliament, the Reichstag. By 1934 Hitler had effectively removed all opposition to his power „o potential and actual. To many historians, Hitler¡¦s rise to power seems incredible considering that in 1928 his party seemed politically moribund.
It may serve to question, firstly, whether Hitler actually was a nonentity in 1928. It is often quoted that the Nazi Party only had 12 seats in the Reichstag in 1928 and that the sales of Mein Kampf, Hitler¡¦s autobiography, totalled a meagre 3000 in that year. Despite this evidence, it should be noted that Hitler was the leading figure in an established party that, although having relatively few seats, was still a presence within the Reichstag.
