The only ideal location would be near James Street Park, and for that reason there is this town meeting to bring to the attention to all of the people of Hornell, The pro’s and con’s of Mega Corporation being located on James Street Park. I strongly am apposed to the installation of this chemical plant on the premises of James Street Park, even though it will open new economic opportunities. Mega Corporation has a history of questionable record on many of the safety and environmental issues that Hornell prides itself on. ... Mega Corporation is guaranteeing over 1000 jobs, security and stability in the future, along with many other “good” opportunities. I feel that the need for a park as large and as fulfilling as the one like James Street is needed in every city, and Hornell included.
