First you start off by gathering your materials. You will need a 17.1cm x 17.1cm piece of origami paper, a ruler, and a pencil. You take your piece of paper and fold it in half, then unfold it and fold it in half the other way. After that you unfold again and fold from corner to corner, then unfold and fold from the other corner to corner. Now you get you ruler and pencil. You then place the ruler on the edge of the paper where you folded first and also on the edge of the paper with the second fold. Draw this line. Repeat this but in the other direction. Then go to the opposite edge and repeat the same steps.
