What comes to your mind when you hear the word "lottery"? Most of us think of a lottery as a fun, chance experience in which the winner is rewarded with prizes or money. However, a lottery is not always a fun experience that one wishes to win. A lottery can be a horrible experience in which the winner may actually lose.
The lottery in this tale is a perfect example of such a loss. ... Everyone has been the victim of the lottery of life before, whether it was not being picked for a certain team, or being on the receiving end of certain racial slurs, or any other discriminatory acts, everyone knows what it feels like. ...
Obvious to anyone who reads this short yet eye-opening story, is that a lottery is not always a fun experience.
