what a nightmare
|
|
|
...
I told this story to a friend of mine and his reply was simple, yet it carried
a lot of meaning for me: What a nightmare!
I started thinking of the word nightmare. ... No matter what the problem
might be, we can always classify it as a nightmare: having a flat tire, being
locked out of your house, running a red light in front of a police car, a bad
phone call with a person who wonÕt hang up; all nightmares to a certain extent.
The funniest thing of all is that the WebsterÕs New World Dictionary does
define a nightmare as 1 frightening dream as much as 2 any frightening
experience.
