Psychology and Me It is county fair season once again and many kids rush to the ticket stand to waste their parent’s money on their next adrenaline rush. However, in every group there is always at least one child that cannot handle the forceful accelerations and twists that the ride exerts on the rider. The reason for the child’s inability to deal with the forces that the ride exerts is related to the child’s inner ear, or the Vestibular Sense. The Vestibular Sense is a set of three semicircular canals in the inner ear that provides information to the brain about the body’s orientation and movement.
