Introduction Malcolm Little, Malcolm X, and El-Hajj Malik al-Shabazz were three different names used by the same human being in three different eras of his life. ... Malcolm Little Malcolm Little was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on May 19, 1925. ... Until his fathers murder in 1931, young Malcolm was raised "in a background of ethnic awareness and dignity" (Malcolm X, 2001, http).
