Right before the first day of school, parents supply their kids with some useful advice, “You want to make a good first impression.” Parents teach their children of this “first impression” for one reason. The first impression remains forever the lasting impression. When you first lay eyes on a person, an abundance of different thoughts may go through one’s mind. ... No matter what that thought is, and without even realizing it, one has just made his first impression of that person. These first impressions, while already being bias to some degree, encounter an even greater bias due to one of the greatest flaws of our civilization. ... First impressions remain pivotal in today’s society, and these impressions need not be based upon hearsay and fiction, but upon fact and real knowledge of a person. ... The first inhabitants of our nation possibly deserve more respect than any other culture for their contributions to our society. ... ” The old western movies with the “bloodthirsty” savage Indian tribes gave a lasting impression to their viewing audiences. ... They must simply deal with the fact that they are portrayed in a way that is totally based upon bias and false impression.
