STEREO SYSTEM SHELVING CABINET PRODUCTION PLAN à 15 weeks Week 1-3: Research different design options for cabinets, complete a design brief, work out my constraints and considerations, and make some evaluation criteria. Week 3-4: Select what materials I will construct my unit out of and make a cutting / price list. Week 4-6: Prepare my materials. Cut all my pieces to there correct sizes, also glue all pieces that need to be glued. Week 6-8: Mark out and cut / drill all my joins. Week 8-12: Assemble my unit. Glue and nail / screw my unit all together. Week 12-15: Sand over the whole unit and make all the joins join smoothly and the whole unit feel smooth. Put a stain finish or paint on the unit. DESIGN BRIEF à I am going to design and construct a cabinet / shelving unit for my bedroom. It will be built to hold my mini-stereo system.
