Uddham Singh the Freedom Fighter

... What is a freedom fighter? ... According to Webster’s Third New International Dictionary it is an advocate of the doctrine that man has freedom of choice, speech and thought for his actions. When applying this definition to people such as Uddham Singh, the definition seems to work perfectly. He was not only an advocate for the freedom of his people, and to stop the British aggression towards his people, but he also he died trying to achieve this. Does he not fit the category of a freedom fighter? By and large, Uddham Singh was a great freedom fighter of the 20th Century.

Uddham Singh was born in the village of Sunam, Punjab in 1899. His father was Tehl Singh, a small Punjabi farmer. Uddham lost his mother at the age of three and his father died when he was 5 years old. ...

Singh, had helped out at this meeting by serving drinking water to the participants. Outraged and horrified by this act, Singh decided to turn to revolutionary politics and he decided to dedicate his whole life to the cause of freedom for his people.
