A Worn Path The theme of this story is about the journey of life; a life of an old woman that cannot even walk straight “moving a little from side to side in her steps” and with the help of the cane made from an umbrella Pheonix Jackson starts her journey along a path to town. ... Her first obstacle is the weather of december-“a bright frozen day in the early morning” With her age, she should never go out side with condition of weather, but she did, because it’s her journey to take, just like all of us have our own way of life, our own path, our own journey.
