What is history
“History is not a fixed idea. ... The facts about history are facts. ... Our nationality, our race, and our preconceived prejudices play a major role in how we interpret history. The very fact that it is impossible for people to be unbiased causes the holes that are apparent in today’s history books and the conflicting accounts found in different textbooks. History is highly dependent on the interpretation and subjectivity of the writer or the reader. For example many of the history books written in America don’t focus on the negative aspects of American history in detail and don’t justifiably explain the crimes America committed.
