Materials Management Amplifier maker, QSC Audio Products, was the featured company in the article titled Pump up the Volume printed in the March 1, 2000 issue of Modern Materials Handling magazine. Since July 1999, QSC’s production capacity has tripled. They increased their capacity by the use of conveyors, carousels, radio frequency identification (RFID), and bar code systems. Though these tools seem relatively simple, QSC has revolutionized their manufacturing process. QSC built a new assembly line in a 41,000 sq ft expansion to their main plant.
