By critically examining the author and analyzing the short story “The Yellow Wallpaper,” one can undoubtedly infer that Charlotte Perkins Gilman had the characteristics of a mentally insane person. ... For example, in the story she sees a woman behind the wallpaper, as if the woman needed her help. ... In the end of the story, she is found crawling around on her hands and knees trying to help this mysterious woman behind the wallpaper. ... Gilman, soon after, went back to work where she wrote her most famous masterpiece “The Yellow Wallpaper. ... ” This is a quote that Gilman said about her work, “The Yellow Wallpaper” to her readers. ... She sent a copy of “The Yellow Wallpaper” to the physician who nearly drove her mad. ...
