Improving Public Education First off, I feel it is a great honor for me to have been randomly selected to represent high school graduates across America. I will use this great opportunity to address you, the national education leaders of this country about how I think the American public education system should change in order to be more relevant. ... I would like to close my address today with a quote that I think emphasizes the importance of all of the suggestions that I made today for improving public education in America. “The principal goal of education is to create men who are capable of doing new things, not simply of repeating what other generations have done.
