Race and Health Care
To not report data by race is to deny the fact that racial disparities exist in health care. Heath problems are not caused by biological factors entirely; there are dozens of outside factors that contribute to ones health and race is definitely something that should be considered. However, not merely on the basis that the color of ones skin makes one more susceptible to diseases, but on the notion that race and racism design how we view ourselves and how we live. This country has a dominate culture and the majority of it is of the White race, and this is also a country built on capitalism; therefore money determines who gets the best health care and it just so happens that class has a direct connection with race.
