Loss of Innocence
Loss of Innocence Mrs. Smith: Per 8 By: Moe Oudeif Can one regain their innocence after losing it? As Elie lost his innocence in Night, he brought it back when he and his concentration camp fellows were finally freed. Although, as we read in MacBeth, he lost his innocence and never regained it until his death. In our common day life, innocence is lost and regained on a regular basis. Innocence is lost the first time you lied to your parents to cover up for yourself or the first time you snuck out of the house to buy a burger from In and Out. These simple incidents are the “stepping stones” of a person ready to lose all their innocence as they grow up.
