Comparative Writing
Comparative Writing-Response Fear, an unpleasant and often strong emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger, something that can only be escaped by sleeping eternally. Fear can sometimes be worse than death, though in many cases it can cause death. "Fear" by Gabriela Mistral (translated by Doris Dana) illustrates the less evil side of Fear, while "The Street" by Octavio Paz (translated by Muriel Rukeyser) demonstrates the wicked side of Fear. Fear can be good, for instance, being afraid of breaking rules or committing illegal acts is good for both you and the people around you.
