A special feature that positions FedEx apart from the competition is also the ability to track down every single package at any given time, a feature that gives the customer a feeling of security and thus a superior perceived customer value. Since its inception, FedEx has not only reflected, but also has led advances in business practices, services and technology applications. The evolution of FedEx’s strategies has mirrored the changing business environment and business leader’s vision. · During the first decade of FedEx Express’s establishment, the company’s chief strategy was directed initially toward survival as a new firm in a new industry and later toward laying the technical groundwork and geographic network for long-term growth.
