Alcohol is involved in almost 2/3 of all date rape crimes, and is one of the leading causes of death among teens. Over 70 million Americans use illegal drugs regularly and 2/3 of all highschool seniors admit to using illegal drugs at one point in the highschool career.() The First person affected when a teenager uses alcohol or drugs is themselves. Drugs and alcohol affect the Brain causing it to shrink, drinking can lead to oral cancer, it can widen your blood cells, cause dehydration, damage motor skills and thinking abilities, and cause severe stomach disorders.
