Usage of packages for developing Expert system may not be the right choice due to their prohibitive costs as well as stand-alone mode of operation. The Expert system languages like PROLOG and LISP have the qualities of manipulating lists easily (Levine I.Robert 1988) but the Expert system developed for design must adopt the object-oriented concept as well as constraint-based treatment. The reason is that a design model using an object-oriented concept very suitable for managing the constraint based feature (D.T.Pham 1991).
