Leding chang
Four strategies for leading change This chapter focuses on four strategies. We will see that leadership is something that can be learned by anyone, taught to everyone but demied to no one. Those four areas of competency are 1. attention through vision 2. meaning through communication 3. trust through positioning 4. the deployment of self through positive self-regard and help leading a change process in an effective way. Strategy I The first strategy focuses on the transaction between leaders and employees. It is about creating unity through vision. Visions seem to bring a confidence on the part of the employees, a confidence that instilled in them a belief that they are capable of performing the necessary acts for change. A vision animates, inspirits and transforms purpose into action. For creating a result-oriented focus, a vision can pull people toward that. Strategy II This stragety is about communication as a key factor for realizing the goals planned for the change process. For example, communicating the leadersīvision captures imaginations and gets the audience to recognize and accept an idea. It is very important that employees are recognizing and getting behind something of established identity.
