... As an American citizen, I perceive the ongoing conflict in the Middle East as a Palestinian Revolution similar to our own American Revolution in the eighteenth century. ... The American Revolution started, according to John C. Wahlke in his book The Causes of the American Revolution, mainly over the British government taxing the colonists despite the colonists not having any representation in Parliament. ... A Palestinian state will not cause more chaos in the region, but rather bring peace to a war torn region because now both sides will have something to lose. Once a Palestinian state has been created, then and only then can the other problems, such as the Palestinian refugees and the governance of Jerusalem be negotiated and solved. ...
