Although, it was physically a small rebellion, we today, are still feeling the impact it had on our society. There were many causes for Shay’s Rebellion, which physically wasn’t a huge threat to the government, but left a lasting mark on the way society was commanded. ... This rebellion was most definitely justified. ... The actual rebellion didn’t impose a real threat on the government. It was the concept of the rebellion that scared the government. The physical rebellion was surpressed on January 1787. This was the most important battle of Shay’s Rebellion. ... Few people after this tried to keep the rebellion alive but it wasn’t successful. The largest threat the rebellion imposed on government was the notion that their government was stable, or sufficient enough for this newly formed nation. The Rebellion had an enormous effect on the government of the United States. ... After the Rebellion it was realized that these laws would have to change. ... Strong was one of the leaders of Shay’s Rebellion. Shay’s Rebellion was often used as an example when the constitution was being created. This rebellion encouraged many to follow the Virginia plan not the New Jersey Plan. ... I wouldn’t want to be a rebel in Shays’s Rebellion for many reasons.
