When I began my summer reading adventure, (fully enthusiastic that I would finish before the end of June) I made a commitment to myself that I would only type in that coveted URL after finishing each of the three books. ... on August 19, I congratulated myself on keeping that promise with a bowl of ice cream.
Forty nine days after beginning with the first page of Slaughter House Five I was finished. Looking back on it, I am able to laugh at the irony of the actual reading only taking me a grand total of six days. ... Every year I wait until the last possible second to due whatever work could amount to a great deal of my grade. Do not take me the wrong way, I had important things to do all summer, granted I did not have a job, a responsibility, or anything to that extreme. I had other priorities such as Days of Our Lives, swimming and lounging at the pool, baking cookies, and staying up as late as possible to watch shows like The Last Call with Carson Daly.
My first reading began in the back seat of the family minivan.
