Lavender Skies

The air outside was sticky and humid. From inside the airplane, the temperature was around 70 degrees and I tried my best to be as close to him as possible. Thoughts were drifting just like my consciousness. Flying in a plane, I realized, for a little over seven hours can have that effect sometimes. As my eyes tried to fight the battle between dreams and reality, I found myself staring out the window into a lavender sky.
