Cyber-sex can be described as “the act of engaging in very sexually explicit dialogue with another person while utilizing the Internet”. ... The actual act of cyber-infidelity most often occurs online via email, instant messaging, and private chat rooms. As more and more people bring computers into their homes, there is an increase in incidents of cyber-infidelity resulting in marital failure. ... And what is even more shocking is that a person who would not normally have an affair in the “real” world will be more prone commit cyber infidelity because of its anonymity, accessibility, and affordability. ... Needless to say, everyone who goes into an online Internet chat room, more than once, is likely to be exposed to cyber-sex. Everyone who repeatedly exposes him or herself to cyber-sex is committing cyber-infidelity against the person to whom they are married.
