WHAT PROBLEMS MIGHT YOU ENCOUNTER IN TEACHING ONE TO ONE CLASSES
In this essay I intend to discuss the teaching of one-to-one classes. First I will give a definition of my perception of one-to-one teaching. I will then discuss some of the advantages and some of the problems that may be encountered in such classes. These problems are in relation to logistical issues such as timekeeping and course content. Also problems in regard to understanding or lack of understanding and interpersonal relationships. The definition of teaching a one-to-one class is that of an instruction that takes place between one student and one teacher, in this case the lesson is English language tuition. Some of the advantages of teaching one-to-one classes are as follows: An individual focus means that there are no distractions from other students to cause concentration lapses. ... Teaching one-to-one can also be beneficial money-wise for the teacher. Problems which may arise as a result of teaching one-to-one classes may be due to several issues. ... A student may wish to remain in the class beyond the end of the specified teaching period.
