Flown to within 55 miles of the target area under the wing of a twin engine Betty bomber. The Ohka was released and then glided at 229 mph. When 30 seconds away from the target the rockets were ignited quickly accelerating the flying to 576 miles per hour Diving into the target higher speeds were often reached.
