At age twenty-one Rockwell・s family moved to New Rochelle, New York. There, Rockwell set up a studio with cartoonist Clyde Forsythe and produced work for such magazines as Life, Literary Digest, and Country Gentleman.
In 1916 Rockwell married his first wife Irene O・Connor. Along with this step into adulthood, Rockwell illustrates his first cover image for the Saturday Evening Post entitled, Boy with Baby Carriage.
Rockwell・s work continued to soar at the Saturday Evening Post as he executed commissions by staging a set and specially selected props for his illustration, and then draw the result. ...
