Who is Sherlock Homes
While reading three of Arthur Conan Doyle’s stories, “The Man with the Twisted Lip,” “A Case of Identity,” and “Scandal in Bohemia,” I have discovered a great deal about the character and personality of Sherlock Holmes. ... These stories have demonstrated to me that Sherlock Holmes is a caring individual. ... This demonstrates that Sherlock is caring and truly wants to help relieve Mrs. ... Later that same evening Watson explained, “Sherlock Holmes was a man, however, who, when he has an unsolved problem upon his mind, would go for days, and even a week without rest…” (Lip). ... Sherlock Holmes said this because he already had a strong intuition that she had been tricked. Just before the worried Miss Sutherland left Sherlock’s apartment, he again said, “…remember the advice which I have given you. ... Sherlock Holmes is a master of disguise. ... When he turned to discover who the man was, Watson saw that, “His form had filled out, his wrinkles were gone, the dull eyes had regained their fire, and there, sitting by the fire and grinning at my surprise, was none other than Sherlock Holmes”(Lip).
